HJ Johari has set a new official national record as the most active ‘Village Head’ in Malaysia. He was the former leader of Kampung Behrang Ulu from 2005-2008, and the secretary of Behrang Ulu Mosque from 1981-2008. He was also the chairman of the Behrang Ulu Mosque from 2009-2012, furthermore, he was the chairman of the UMNO branch of Kg Simpang from 1987 – present. In fact. He was also the JKKK secretary from 1982 – 2004, also the chairman of orang asli affairs department from 1986 – 2004. He is also a FELCRA Changkat Baru committee from 1976 – present and former chairman (YDP) OF SK Behrang PIBG from 1981 – 2003. His services to the surrounding villages is very great, such as works on the main entrance roads of several villages here, development on bridges for several villages, works on collective agricultural land for the community, works on the renovation of mosques, surau and community hall in this village. His contributions & achievements were recognised & recorded as AMBR great achievers in the book of AMBR
